Investment

Patient capital. Active partnership.

Relay Partners deploys its own capital directly into businesses where we have developed genuine conviction — typically through an advisory relationship or deep sector familiarity. This is not a fund. There are no LPs, no vintage year pressures, and no mandate to deploy by a fixed date.

We take minority positions and earn our place at the table through active involvement — board participation, strategic counsel, and transaction support. The businesses we back tend to be founder-led, capital-efficient, and operating in markets we know well.

Investment criteria

Stage

Growth-stage businesses with demonstrated revenue and a clear path to profitability. Occasionally earlier where the founder relationship is deep.

Geography

Southeast Asia and North America. Cross-border businesses operating across both regions are of particular interest.

Sectors

Sector-agnostic. We follow conviction, not themes. Past exposure spans financial services, consumer, technology-enabled services, and industrials.

Check size

Minority positions. Sized to be meaningful to the business without crowding out future institutional rounds.

Involvement

Active. Board or observer seat standard. We bring advisory capability, network access, and transaction expertise — not just capital.

Horizon

Long. We do not manage to a fund cycle. Our capital is patient and our exits are driven by business outcomes, not calendar constraints.

What we bring

Operator perspective

Deep understanding of the pressure founders face from the inside given our previous C-level experience in public and private companies.

Transaction capability

Our investment activity is backed by full M&A and capital markets execution capability. We can run a process, not just participate in one.

Regional fluency

Deep networks across Southeast Asia and North America built over two decades of investing and advising in both markets.

Aligned capital

This is the firm's own balance sheet. No LP pressure, no mandate drift, no conflicts from managing other people's money.

We invest where we can add more than money — and only where we genuinely believe in the outcome.
